Why Your Products Aren't Showing in Google Shopping

You connected your store to Google, the products synced, and nothing is showing. There are only a few places the problem can be: the product's status, your account setup, or your product data. This guide walks through each in the order worth checking.

Start with the product status

In Merchant Center, the Products list has a Status column, and Google's help page describes five statuses. The status tells you whether you are waiting on Google or whether something needs fixing.

StatusWhat it means
Under reviewGoogle is still checking the product
ProcessingGoogle is applying an update you made
ApprovedThe review is complete
LimitedEligible only in some places, or some data is hidden
Not approvedPolicy or data quality errors block the product

If it is still under review

New products do not show straight away. Google says a review may take up to 3 to 5 business days for Shopping ads, and a few weeks for other features such as free listings. If a product is under review and inside that window, waiting is the fix.

If it is limited or not approved

Open the Needs attention tab. It lists the issues behind every Limited and Not approved product. Google separates warnings from disapprovals: a product with a warning keeps showing with limited performance, and a disapproved product stops showing until it is fixed and reapproved.

Guides for the common ones: disapproved products, text on images and the GTIN warning.

If every product is affected

When nothing shows at all, look at the account before the products. Google's help page on Merchant Center issues lists account-level gaps that stop a whole catalog, and an unresolved account warning can end in a suspension that disables every product.

If it is approved and still not showing

Approved means eligible, not shown for every search. The Products list also has a Visibility column, which is set by you, and a product marked Hidden will not show whatever its status. Products also show a Needs update overlay 30 days after their last update, which means the data should be refreshed.

For free listings, Google says products can be ineligible when it does not have enough information to show them. Its suggested fixes include matching the prices and details in Merchant Center to your website and linking your store platform to Merchant Center. Clear, specific titles help Google understand the product too. See how to write Google Shopping titles.

Doing this at scale

FeedFix checks every product against Google Merchant Center and Meta Catalog rules and scores each one from 0 to 100 per channel. It drafts compliant title and description rewrites that you review as before/after diffs and apply in bulk, and every change is audit-logged. See FeedFix.
