Wholesale buyers rarely use a retail checkout as it is. They want their own prices, minimums, payment terms and often a quote before they commit. This guide covers what to look for in a wholesale or quoting app, some options, and what Shopify already includes. We make QuoteWeaver, which is one of the apps below.
What to look for
Wholesale tools split into three jobs: showing B2B prices on the storefront, collecting quote requests, and answering them. Work out which one is slowing you down.
- Price lists: Customer-specific pricing, volume breaks and minimum order quantities.
- Quote intake: A storefront form or button, or requests arriving by email.
- Quote to order: Whether an accepted quote becomes a Shopify draft order without retyping.
- Buyer accounts: Registration forms, approval and net payment terms.
- Pricing basis: Flat monthly fee, or limits on B2B orders per month.

Shopify B2B and draft orders are built in. Shopify's help center says B2B features, including companies and catalogs, are included on plans that support B2B capabilities, so check your plan. Draft orders let you create an order for a customer, set a custom price on a line item, add payment terms and send an invoice with a checkout link. Limitation: you build each draft order by hand.
SparkLayer B2B & Wholesale runs wholesale ordering inside your store, with customer-specific price lists, registration forms with approval, and a sales rep portal. It has a free Basic plan for up to 5 orders a month, then Starter at $49, Growth at $149 and Pro at $299, with 14-day free trials. Limitation: plans cap monthly B2B orders, and quoting is listed on the Pro plan.
Wholesale Pricing Discount B2B adds percentage, tiered and quantity-break wholesale pricing, a B2B signup form and net payment terms to a retail store. Plans run from Basic at $24.99 a month to Global at $64.99, each with a 10-day free trial. Limitation: there is no free plan, and the listing describes pricing and signup, not a quoting workflow.
SA Request a Quote, Hide Price adds a quote button and form, and can hide prices by tag, vendor or collection. It has a free Basic plan, Premium at $16.99 a month and Pro at $36.99, with 7-day free trials. Limitation: converting a quote to an order is on the Pro plan.
QuoteWeaver reads a buyer's free-text quote request, parses it into line items, matches each to a real catalog SKU with a confidence score, prices it against your B2B list, and builds a Shopify draft order and a drafted reply. Plans are Starter at $79 a month, Growth at $249 and Plus at $599, each with a 14-day free trial. Limitations: it has no storefront quote form, and it costs more than typical quote-form apps.
How to choose
Pick by where the request starts and how many you handle.
- A few wholesale orders a month: Shopify draft orders are enough. See how to turn a quote request into a draft order.
- Your plan includes Shopify B2B: Set up companies and catalogs there before adding an app.
- Buyers should log in and order at their own prices: SparkLayer or Wholesale Pricing Discount B2B.
- You want a "request a quote" button on product pages: SA Request a Quote, Hide Price. QuoteWeaver does not do this.
- Buyers email long lists of items and you retype them: QuoteWeaver fits, and it can sit alongside a form app.
